Points of Light Lay Ministry Application
Thank you very much for applying to serve in the Points of Light Lay Ministry. We are so happy that you want to become a part of this team. The hospitality provided through this ministry is through our smiles, our hearts, and our commitment to love God and love people who need help and spiritual support.
The goal of Points of Light is inspired by 2 Corinthians 1:3-5 which says, “Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves receive from God. For just as we share abundantly in the sufferings of Christ, so also our comfort abounds through Christ.”
The Lay Ministers currently serving in Points of Light are all on various levels of their spiritual growth and walk with God to become more like Jesus. We want all new team members to have the same mentality of growing spiritually. Additionally, it’s very important that each person applying to serve as a Lay Minister, earnestly prays and seek God’s guidance to ensure that this is a ministry in which they feel called to humbly, comfortably and confidently minister to those who are hurting and need spiritual support.
